If you want more sales leads from your website, there is any easy solution. Spend more money and time on building a better website than your competitors. One that’s friendly to the search engines and one that quickly converts new business opportunities. Llew Jury, Managing Director at Digital Marketing Agency Reload Media, explains businesses can’t be complacent when it comes to their digital marketing. The modern customer simply doesn’t have the time to waste on a poor performing website so you need to think of the three Fs- functional, fast and friendly.At Reload Media (http://ift.tt/1Q84rTo) we recently launched our new website and even though Llew is in the game, he still had to spend good money and plenty of time to ensure it looked great. Here are Llew's top five tips for a better website:

== Steps ==

# Know who your customers are

#* Are your customers younger or are they retired? You can't assume they know what you do.

#* Knowing who your customers are will help you to create a website that is clear, simple and easy to use for your target audience.

#* Also consider whether your customers know industry terms? If not, don't use jargon.

# Think user, not brand

#* When you're designing a new website you should always have the user in mind.

#* Don't be quirky at the expense of simplicity and remember that clear navigation on the website is best.

# Pick a hero image for the home page

#* Choose one image that represents exactly who you are. Try to use a real one, not a stock image.

#* Make it fast to download on both desktop and mobile devices.

# Utilise insights from Google Analytics

#* You can use Google Analytics to gain an udnerstanding of how visitors found yoru site, which pages they viewed, how long they stayed on the page and what actions they took.

#* At Reload, we determined what pages were the msot popular on our old website and then made sure these were high up on the menu for the new one.

# Get the ball rolling on content from the start

#* Write your content first, then design the website around it. Trust me, you don't want to be doing content late in the piece.

#* When a customer goes through your website, all of their questions need to be answered via great content, whether that's via video, written content or graphics.
