Ever wondered how to make a Batman batarang from the movies??? Well with a few around the house tools and projects, you can make a real working batarang. This project could easily make 3 or more batarangs.
== Steps ==
# You will need to gather...
#* 1 Large CIRCULAR saw blade.
#* A handheld jigsaw with metal cutting blades
#* One or more stencils of a batarang
#* A few metal files.
#* One or more hours.
# To get the batarang stencil just Google: Batarang stencil, and choose which one you like best.
# Glue the stencil onto the saw balde just above the tip of the blades. and let dry
# Carefully secure the saw blade onto a table or work bench with a heavy duty clamp
# Starting with the jigsaw in the grove of the saw blade, cut carefully along any strait lines SLOWLY.
# Cut any remaining curved lines carefully, it does not matter that it is not smooth yet, just as long as the design has the correct shape.
# After cutting out the Batarang, you will want to get your metal files and carefully file down any rough edges. If you have a curved file, use this for any curved spots like the wings. To make this easier, you can attach it to a vise.
# After you file down the rough edges, you will want to file down the edges closer to the point of the wing down.
# Then you will want to spray paint it, you can use any color that you want, but to make it look authentic, you should use black
# Make sure to let the paint dry for at least 10 minutes, then sand down the parts of the wing that you file down to a point.
# You have successfuly created your batarang!!!! Just toss it as you would any other throwing knife.
== Tips ==
* If you don't have any old or unused circular saw blades lying around, just go to your local thrift store of junkyard and find one there.
* Make sure that that saw blade you use is not rusty, it will make the paint fall off faster.
* When cutting the saw blade, make sure to go very slowly. If you hurry with the cuts, it may be lopsided or destroy the jigsaw blade.
== Warnings ==
* These WILL penetrate skin and clothing, be very careful with these and toss them at a target away from other people.
* These have VERY sharp edges ad points, be very careful with these.
* Not suggested for use in children 10 or under.
* When cutting the saw blade, pieces of metal may fly up at your eyes so make sure to wear eye protection.
