This WikiHow will show you how to make a dog tag for you to wear (Not to be used as your dog's ID tag!). It is very simple and no artistic talent is required!
== Steps ==
# First, cut out a rectangle of Shrinky-Dink plastic that is 5 inches long and 3 inches wide. Trim the corners so they are rounded.
# Now you will need to decide what you want your dog tag to be. It can be just about anything you want: a band or game logo, a quote, or a picture. If you cannot draw the design yourself, you will need to print it out. Microsoft Word works well for this.
# Draw or trace your design onto the shrinky-dink plastic. You should notice that the two sides of the plastic have different textures; one is rough and clouded while the other is clear and smooth. On the rough side, use pencils and colored pencils. On the other side, sharpies and other permanent markers can be used. Once your design is complete, use a standard hole punch to punch a hole in the top of the dogtag. This will let you put it on a chain later.
# Time to bake! Cookie sheets covered in tin foil work well. Place your shrinky-drink smooth side down. The packaging of your shrinky-dink plastic should have baking instructions. You should watch your dog tag while it bakes; because of its somewhat large size, it is possible that the ends will fold over and become stuck. If this happens, use a fork to push it back into place. Once your dog tag has shrunk completely, turn off your oven and take out the tray. You should probably let it cool a bit.
# Once your shrinky dink is cool, attatch a metal jump ring to the hole you made earlier. Pliers make this easier. Then you can attatch your dog tag to a keychain, necklace, or anything else you want!
== Tips ==
* Pliers help when attatching jump rings.
== Warnings ==
* Be careful when using ovens!
